Builders Choosing Excellence
The Custom Builders Council or CBC is a select group of builders who have met a stringent set of professional standards. Members must warranty the homes they build, carry Liability, Workmen's Compensation and Builders Risk insurances. They also must have sound business and client references and proven business ethics. CBC members have won national, regional and local building and design awards and have earned professional and public praise for their projects. Members are a diverse group who build custom homes in all price ranges, architectural styles and regions of central New Mexico. The CBC is part of the Home Builders Association of Central New Mexico.

Builders Active in Progress
Members may attend monthly meetings where topics ranging from new products to public policy are discussed. The CBC also offers Master Builder classes and other educational opportunities to interested members. Builders launched a buying co-op. The co-op will help builders contain some of the costs associated with building custom homes by effectively pooling their buying power. The co-op may also pursue the purchase of land to ensure that buyers can choose custom homes in a variety of locations within the central New Mexico region.

Evening of Artistry
The Evening of Artistry received acclamation from attendees who enjoyed the self-guided tour of eight luxurious custom homes built by members of the CBC. Each home featured delicious hors d’oevres, the works of local artists and classical music provided by the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra, beneficiaries of a portion of the fundraising event’s proceeds.
