The Home Builders Care Program is comprised of a group of volunteer members of the Home Builders Association of Central New Mexico who work to improve the community of Greater Albuquerque through consumer education, environmental action and community restoration. Home Builders Care projects include the Don Martin Scholarship Fund, an annual Rio Grande Bosque Clean-up and building or remodeling homes for those in need. Past Community outreach projects have benefited organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Rebuilding Together (formerly Christmas in April), Charter Vocational High School , CNM, the Ronald McDonald House and the Women's Housing Coalition.
Don Martin Scholarship Fund
In recognition of former NAHB President and outstanding HBA of CNM Member, Don Martin, of Martin Exploration & Development, the HBA of CNM will award a student with a generous contribution in honor of the home building industry. For more information, please contact Kimberly Johnson at 344-3294.

Consumer Education Project
In conjunction with the Build Green NM Program, the HBC is committed to educating consumers on the necessity and benefits of high performance, energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable building practices. NM Mortgage Finance Authority Project
The HBC and Foundation For Building (FFB) Committees have partnered with the New Mexico MFA to assist in the rehabilitation of a low-income level family’s poorly conditioned house in Bernalillo County. Dedicated to providing safe, decent and affordable housing for low to moderate income level New Mexicans, the NMMFA is a fully self-supporting, not-for-profit enterprise that does not receive any state funds for its operations.
